Very natural look after quad blepharoplasty.  Approaching my 50s I have decided to finally take care of my eye bags that have been bothering me for years. I have naturally heavy eyelids but with age the issue has become more and more visible. I booked my surgery and flew to LA. The surgery was done with local anesthesia. … Surgery went well. The usual swelling and bruises but I was able to attend an important meeting exactly 9 days after the surgery without anyone noticing and with the help of a good concealer. Result is completely meeting my expectation. Natural, no visible scar, the shape of my eyes is intact, just a refreshed , bagless look. … I would definitely recommend Dr Taban to my friends and in fact I did. Extremely knowledgeable and incredibly skilled! Dr. Taban quickly diagnosed me with a sunken eye (enophthalmos) from Silent Sinus Syndrome and worked closely with me throughout my surgery and aftercare. I would not trust my eyes with anyone else! Dr Taban Is an extremely skilled & talented doctor. He corrected my ptosis in one eye perfectly. I was previously told by another highly rated doctor that he wouldn’t try to fix it because it was too mild and was concerned about over correcting. I am so happy I found Dr Taban. I’ve been seeing Dr. Taban since 2021 and genuinely wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyes. My ptosis surgery was very successful. It’s honestly wild comparing photos of my eyes before to now. They’re actually open, and I don’t look sleepy or unenthused anymore. I have been struggling with a severe case of Blepharitis with styes and chalazia as complications. My case was so bad that I have sought out and have been referred to seven ophthalmologists in an attempt to get help. I had one chalazion near my tear duct for over eight months and no oculoplastic surgeon would remove it because of its location. Dr. Taban agreed that it would be complicated to remove, but he was confident that he could do it. His staff got me in the next day for the outpatient procedure and within 20 min. I was free from the large chalazion that had been present for almost a year. I have the utmost faith in Dr. Taban and am beyond grateful that I have found him! He also treated me with Botox and I am very happy with the results. It is very natural, yet erased the lines that were concerning to me, as well as lifted the outer corner of my eyebrows, which has opened up my eyes. I am getting filler next week and am looking forward to it! Super pleased!!

I had a chalazion on my eyelid that would not go away. My doctor recommended Dr. Taban, and I was lucky he did! Excellent consultation and results. I came to Dr. Taban to reverse results of a bad blepharoplasty performed by a well-known and highly respected S CA cosmetic surgeon. Rather than the minor adjustment that I wanted, the surgery left me with sunken upper eyelids that caused me to look older rather than younger, and rendered a somewhat angry look at rest. It was a disaster. I believe that the underlying problem was a surgeon performing procedures without the requisite special skills and knowledge of oculoplastics and aesthetic procedures. In contrast, Dr. Taban is indeed such a specialist. In addition, he is a person with excellent communication skills and compassionate sensibilities. He carefully examined me and described the multiple options, their pros and cons. He recommended filler injections with a specific material, applied in two steps, which I accepted. The procedure was completed in about 15 minutes with no numbing and without any significant discomfort at all. I am delighted with the results of the first procedure and scheduled my second pass the day after. I am extremely happy to have found Dr. Taban and confident that he will provide the best practical end result. I give Dr. Taban my highest recommendation.

For a long time I was bothered by my under eye dark circles…. I recommend eyelid filler injection for under eye dark circles and I recommend Dr Taban.

My experience with Dr. Taban was beyond what I expect with a doctor, let alone a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. At 34, and being a very vain person (admittedly), I noticed some slight aging and hollowness around my eye area, and had looked into PRP & dermal fillers under the eye to restore lost volume. After postponing for MONTHS, and after multiple consults with other doctors, I decided on Dr. Taban for Belotero in the tear trough. Dr. Taban spoke to me several times via email and phone PRIOR to my first appointment, to ease my fears and answer all my questions — no other doctor in the area would even get on the phone with me (or any patient) until they were paid a consult fee. I was stunned that this doctor emailed me back so quickly, even before I was a patient. The procedure itself was great and painless … and my under-eyes look AMAZING. It took maybe 30 minutes, tops. Restored volume under the eyes and I look 24 again ! It’s amazing what a small tweak can do to the face to restore youthfulness – and a nurse, I do not advocate over-done plastic surgery. In fact, they KEY to any good cosmetic procedures is to look at someone, and never know they’ve had something done. My eyes have always been my thing, the defining feature on my face and the feature I get the most compliments on … so I am very picky about what I put on/near them, or what products I use on them. My one year old son fell on a hook last week and tore his eyelid open. I immediately took him to his pediatrician who told us that our son will need stitches by a specialist. He referred us to Dr. Taban. … I was a wreck and called Dr. Taban’s office right away, and his assistant immediately squeezed us in. When we arrived, he promptly saw us and with a calm demeanor, he kept us at ease. He agreed with our pediatrician that our son needed stitches, and since he’s so young we would need to do it at a hospital/surgery center as he needs to be put under anesthesia. I was suffering from lower eyelid retraction ever since I had a bad blepharoplasty several years ago. … Thankfully I found Dr. Taban on the Internet and after a consultation with him I scheduled an appointment for a retraction repair surgery that would use skin grafts from my upper eyelids to fix the retraction. My procedure was Lower Eyelid with Fat Re-positioning and Eye Bags removal. I found Dr. Taban on Real Self, and upon meeting him in person I realized that he was knowledgeable enough to know how to operate on my eyes. From the initial consultation, he made me feel very at ease, as he began to explain to me all my different options. He was not pushy or have an overly confident “know it all” attitude like most Beverly Hills doctors seemed to have, or even in Miami. I chose to have the actual surgery, not injections, the procedure done under local sedation with injections directly in the lower eyelid, under my eyelashes. Of course, he provided me with some painkillers prior to the injections, so I barely felt anything. The whole time I was awake, eyes open, super calm, and didnt feel a thing. He has GREAT hands!! Aside from the fact that we are talking about eye surgery, which is never pleasant, my experience with Dr. Taban was very rewarding. I previously had procedures that involved fat injections and also injectable fillers and did that for several years. These deposits, added to the changes consistent with aging, resulted in an uneven and lumpy appearance of my lower eyelids, which always gave me a somewhat tired, underslept look. Dr Taban was able to change that. Using the incisions on the outside of the eyelids, right along the eyelash line, and in order to be able to remove some loose skin from there, he was able to access the fat deposits and reposition them lower, which resulted in fuller and smoother eyelid appearance. Call it eyelid sculpting, or molding, he is very good at it! Light touch, angelic hands, I am very thankful to be the recipient of his talent, skills and successful communication efforts and am sure that I will see him again.

I had functional bilateral lower eyelid retraction surgery, infraorbital rim silicone implants, and lower blepharoplasty with Dr. Taban, and I’m really happy with my decision. I’ve gone to Dr. Taban for years now for eyelid touchiups! The team is fantastic — friendly, responsive, and caring! I originally went to Dr. Taban for upper eyelid filler as well as a skin pinch under my eyes after a plastic surgeon in Kansas City had done an upper and lower blepharoplasty that changed my almond shaped eyes. I was pretty depressed about it until Dr. Taban treated me. I fully researched him and have flown back to California for different treatments. I absolutely love everything that he’s done for me and highly refer him to anyone. Don’t trust just anyone with your eyes. I completely trust him, he is very skilled– occuplasty is his niche!

Dr. Taban performed an upper and lower blepharoplasty and lateral brow lift for me. He and his office staff are very professional, friendly, and VERY thorough with preop and follow up care. They are also very quick to respond to concerns or questions in between. In my case, I did have quite a bit of swelling right after surgery and some redness, but that might have been because I flew home to northern CA a couple of days after the surgery. I felt that his skill was worth the travel for me to have it done there instead of home in northern CA, as I had been following him and obtained 2 other consultations in my decision making. Swelling was very quickly resolved within a day using ice packs and rest. Very minimal pain. Some pain/discomfort was only on the first day as the lidocaine wore off after surgery. After that, Tylenol only for a couple of days. My advice is to do EVERYthing exactly as he tells you to do. Ice packs! Rest! Especially the first few days. Within 4 days, I was back in moderate action with sunglasses on to hide the bruising. Once the stitches were out on day 8, and the cheek tape was removed, I used alcohol pads to very gently remove some dead skin and sticky residue from my cheeks without pulling the skin. Protect the incisions even after the stitches are removed. No splashing face for even a a couple of days after they are removed. Large full cover cocoon sunglasses to hide the bruising and protect the incisions from the sun throughout entire recovery process. Baseball caps to hide the greasy hair. Hand held shower to only wash from shoulders down. Wear gloves to bed, if you must, to remind you not to rub your eyes as you wake up. I have that habit, so that is what reminded me to not touch. I used damp Q-tips to gently wipe my eye secretions away from my tear ducts in the mornings. I waited 3 weeks to a month before wearing mascara again for the first time in 6 years! Yay! I am 3 months post op now and I get compliments all the time on how good I look, with or without makeup, but people can’t quite figure out why I look so fresh. 🤗 I am SO glad I did this!

Dr Taban is the very best oculoplastic in the business. Very knowledgeable. I had an upper bleph from another surgeon which was done really well. However, due to my anatomy, my lids were a bit asymmetrical. I got a second opinion from Dr Taban and he said no further surgery was needed and instead he added a special filler to my left eyelid which fixed the a-symmetry. I came to Dr Taban after a blepharoplasty that did not turn out well at all. My first surgeon was very reputable. However, I was beyond upset with the result and had months of insecurity and stress over how my eyes looked.
